Privacy Policy

This policy explains, in plain language, what data gunz.com.br ("GunZ Brasil", "we") collects, what we use it for and what your rights are. The site is operated from Brazil and follows the Brazilian data protection law (LGPD).

1. Who is responsible

GunZ Brasil is a fan-run community site. For any privacy matter, contact us at contato@code.com.br.

2. What we collect

If you just browse (no account):

  • Access and analytics data — we use Google Analytics 4, which collects, via cookies, information such as pages visited, visit duration, device type, browser, approximate country/region and traffic source. We receive this data in aggregate form, without identifying you.
  • Language preference — a cookie (lang) stores your choice between Portuguese and English. Initial detection uses your connection's country, processed on Cloudflare's infrastructure, without storage by us.

If you create a chat account:

  • Google account data — authentication via Firebase Authentication (Google). We receive your e-mail and a unique identifier. We never see your password.
  • Site profile — the username and avatar you choose (public in the chat), creation date and last activity time (used to show who is online).
  • Messages — global chat and private messages are stored in Firebase (Google). The chat does not display history from before you joined, but messages remain recorded for moderation, safety and legal compliance. Private conversations are only accessible to the two participants (and, technically, to database administration when there is a legitimate moderation need or legal obligation).
  • Moderation records — applied punishments (mutes or bans) are recorded with the account identifier.

3. What we use it for

  • operating the site and the chat (performing the service you request);
  • keeping the community safe and moderated (legitimate interest);
  • understanding site usage and improving content (analytics — legitimate interest);
  • complying with legal obligations, where applicable.

We do not sell your personal data.

4. Cookies and similar technologies

  • _ga and similar — Google Analytics (usage statistics);
  • lang — language preference;
  • browser local storage — chat preferences (such as notification sound on/off) and a short server-status cache. This data stays in your browser only.

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; most of the site keeps working normally.

5. Advertising

The site is free and is funded by advertising. Ads are served by Adsterra, a third-party ad network, in the popunder format (a window that may open behind the current one when you click) and the social bar format (a floating ad on the page itself).

To serve and measure those ads, Adsterra and its partners may use cookies, local storage and technical information about your visit — such as IP address, device type, browser, operating system and country. That data is handled by Adsterra under its own policies and does not pass through us: we neither receive nor store any of it. See Adsterra's privacy policy.

If you would rather not see ads, any browser ad blocker will prevent those scripts from loading, and the site keeps working normally.

6. Who we share with

Your data is processed by the providers that run the site:

  • Google — Firebase (authentication and database) and Google Analytics;
  • Adsterra — serving and measuring the ads displayed on the site;
  • Cloudflare — hosting and content delivery.

These providers may process data on servers outside Brazil; such transfers rely on those providers' contractual safeguards. Beyond that, we only share data if required by law or court order.

7. How long we keep it

  • account and profile data: for as long as the account exists;
  • chat messages: for as long as needed for moderation and safety;
  • moderation records: while relevant to community safety;
  • analytics data: per Google Analytics retention periods.

8. Your rights

You may request: confirmation of processing, access to your data, correction, anonymization, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent and deletion of your account and data. Just write to contato@code.com.br — we respond as quickly as possible.

9. Security

We rely on Google (Firebase) and Cloudflare infrastructure, with database access protected by security rules that limit what each user can read and write. No system is 100% secure, but we follow good practices to protect what is under our control.

10. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13. The chat requires a Google account, subject to Google's own age rules. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we will remove it.

11. Changes

We may update this policy at any time; the current version lives on this page, with the date at the top. Relevant changes will be highlighted on the site.
